THE SMALL ACT

The CHANCE Act — Creating Hire Avenues for New Careers and Employment

Hire Local, Hire Heroes

Wisconsin's businesses are the backbone of our communities — and some of our most deserving neighbors are being left behind. Reive believes we can solve both problems at once by rewarding employers who take a chance on the people who need it most.

  • Veterans Hiring Tax Credit — Businesses that hire a veteran receive a meaningful state tax credit. Veterans bring discipline, leadership, and real-world experience to any workplace.

  • Homeless Hiring Tax Credit — Businesses that hire someone experiencing homelessness receive an even larger tax credit. A job is the single most effective path out of homelessness — more reliable than a shelter bed and more dignified than a government check.

Credits are earned over time — rewarding genuine retention, not just hiring:

  • 2 Weeks

    • Initial portion — they showed up

  • 90 Days

    • Second portion — they're building something

  • 6 Months

    • Third portion — it's becoming a career

  • 12 Months

    • Fourth portion — real stability achieved

  • 3 Years

    • Bonus credit — long-term investment rewarded

The 3-year bonus exists to prevent employers from recycling hires just to restart the credit clock. The goal isn't a revolving door — it's a career.
